Gisborne bred, Tamaki Makaurau living, Hyan has been carving his name into the Aotearoa electronic music scene over the past few years. Hyan exists as a DJ, Producer and (most favorably) an energetic and contagious personality amongst the DJ sphere. Hyan has become renowned for sets packed with bootlegs and edits; always catching the crowd off guard and leaving the party wanting more. Combining a love for UK dance music like House, 2-Step Garage, Breakbeats and Jungle with Hip Hop and Soundcloud club edits, each Hyan set is different from the next. Since 2019 Hyan has been releasing edit packs and remixes that have been played by DJ’s worldwide. His music has been featured on radio shows such as George FM, BBC 1Xtra, Rinse FM and Soulection. Since the release of Hyan’s remix of Flowdan’s Horror Show Style only 3 months ago it has gained over half a million plays, made it to the top of the SoundCloud top 50 all genre’s playlist and is still currently the #1 House song on SoundCloud. With a big year ahead, including the release of his first solo EP, Hyan shows no sign of slowing down.
