1989 was a bloody good year for Gisborne. One fine day two local legends were out waiting for a bomb (a really good wave) when they had a moment of genius. “Mate, why don’t we brew the perfect beer?”. Just like that Gisborne Gold was born, (or at least conceived) out surfing. Part local legend, part New Zealand icon this delicious drop has paved the way for decades to follow and is still as strong as ever.
