Yancey, real name James Sherning, is a producer hailing from Auckland, New Zealand. The 21 year old multi instrumentalist has an eclectic sound influenced by an abundance of genres, an interesting mixture of upbeat rhythms with no boundaries to their style. Beginning producing in 2015, his music was soon given attention with a feature on Noisia Radio (Senkan ft. Proche). He has since made a name for himself in his home country and beyond, performing frequently around New Zealand at shows and festivals. Yancey’s live sets are as intriguing and high energy filled as his music itself, filled with crazy edits and genre bending mixing. He has had the opportunity perform alongside the likes of Mr. Carmack, Great Dane, KRNE and Luca Lush, and has performed at festivals such as Rhythm & Vines and Our:House. He is also a member of the Slo:Wave collective, including artists such as LMC, Wayvee.

Having played hundreds of shows, ranging from club gigs at local institutions such as 1885 and Roxy, to full blown festivals like OMG, Summer Classic and Deep Hard n Funky, Troskie takes his audience on an amazing journey, keeping the dancefloors packed, radios blaring and ears ringing every time he hits the stage. Having lit up stages across New Zealand in 2016, including performances at Sounds of Underground, Freqs Out East and the iconic Rhythm and Vines festival last summer, Troskie is busy in the studio ahead of the anticipated release of his latest track ʻLostʼ. He is the host of Breakfast Klub Radio on George FM every Tuesday.
