SURVIVE THE VINES
Find below some tips and insights from festival veterans, staff and the likes as we go into detail on how best to survive the vines.
This isn’t a drill. You will be tested, but if you are smart, festival fit and little bit frothy, you will not only survive your first R&V, but also live to tell the tale.
PACK YOUR SURVIVAL KIT
These items are essential and you will struggle to get by without them so plan ahead!
If camping, a Waterproof Tent - don't skip out on a cheap tent (BIG MISTAKE)
Toiletries (shampoo and body wash)
Towels and plenty of them!
Empty plastic water bottles that you can refill inside the festival and stay hydrated.
Your ticket - show it on your phone, or print out a copy.
Your Photo ID - you will need one of the valid identifications listed below to allow your entry into R&V. Your ID will need to match the details on your ticket.
HANZ 18+ Card
Debit/Eftpos card to load money onto your AWOP wristband
Covered shoes (jandals are the number one fatality on festival roads)
OPTIONAL (But highly recommended)
Lip Balm (dry lips are no fun)
Power Bank or 2
Sunhat and Sunnies
Jandals/Sandals for around the campsite - showering, but as above, not great for front right frothing.
Bring a hoodie or jumper! For the colder evenings

CHECK IN TIPS
The check-in opens at 9am on December 28th for the super keen campers. The only ID we can legally accept is a Passport, New Zealand Driver’s License, or a HANZ 18+ card. Be aware of this and remind your mates - no discretion, it’s the law!
Check in times are as follows:
Friday 28th December 2018: 12pm - 9pm
Saturday 29th December 2018: 10am - 9pm
Sunday 30th December 2018: 1pm - 9pm
Monday 31st December 2018: 1pm - 9pm
Make sure your ID still looks like you and isn’t too old. If you happen to lose/forget/are waiting on a new ID when Rhythm & Vines comes around… don’t bother begging! No discretion - it’s the law and unfortunately there’s nothing we can do. This is your reminder.
