OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS

Four young, hard working employees of Rhythm and Vines have been given the dream opportunity to travel and work at some of the UK’s best summer festivals.

The Rhythm and Vines festival has facilitated the scheme in the aim of creating greater career opportunities for Gisborne workers to experience a taste of the live entertainment industry overseas.

Festival Director and CEO of R&V Live Nation Limited Kieran Spillane says “We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity and it is our intention that this program is just the start of this process, and we will look to identify more promising candidates to be up-skilled with overseas festival experience with a view to giving them a sustainable career within the industry. We are also sending three of our Gisborne based Campground Management team to Splendour in the Grass festival in Australia in July to gain some insight to how another large scale festival runs”.

The four employees that we are sending to the UK are all key members of the site team and are therefore based in Gisborne and working on the festival build and the breakdown of the site. They are also on site during the festival itself, mitigating and solving any site issues that may arise.

As part of this upskilling process it is intended that this site team will be engaged not only for Rhythm & Vines but on some other events in Auckland.

The UK festivals they will be placed at include Camp Bestival, Wilderness Festival and Creamfields.

Keen to join the R&V team. Apply for upcoming roles here.
