Thank you for your interest in renting your house for Rhythm and Vines 2016.
Many local homeowners earn extra income renting their homes for Rhythm & Vines. It’s easy, and your home is property managed for you. We are sourcing rental houses for our Staff and also to market to Sponsors, Partners, Media, Corporate, VIP guests, and festival-goers.
With regard to safeguards, we have procedures and policies in place to ensure that your home is looked after and returned to you in the same condition you left it.
Most tenants are requiring accommodation for the three nights of the festival, which is are the 29th through to the 31st of December, but to ensure a more worthwhile rental period for the homeowner, we place a minimum five-night rental period.
You pay no fees to list your house with R&V. You choose the per night rate. R&V adds a 20% service fee, and this comprises to rate to the customer.
When we receive an application to rent your house, we advise you in writing, and provide as much detail as possible about the group (i.e. number of people, number of males/females, ages, occupations, rental history, relationship to the festival, etc.) The decision is up to you whether to accept the tenancy.
We require and check prospective tenants' references.
Contracts are issued for both the Tenant and Landlord side, with Rhythm and Vines Ltd. acting as the Agent.
We hold a $700 bond for all properties. This is refunded to the tenants only after we have completed the final inspection and confirmed with you, the homeowner, that all is satisfactory.
We cannot guarantee that your house will rent, but we will ensure that it is well presented to potential tenants and promoted through our channels. Good quality photos are essential to showcasing your home in the best possible way.
A pre inspection will be undertaken prior to the tenancy, in early to mid-December. The post inspection takes place on the day the tenants leave.
It is your responsibility to provide linen including towels, sheets, duvets, tea towels etc. It is your responsibility to launder the linen after the departure of the tenants.

“It takes a bit of organisation to leave the house clear of personal items while packing for our own holiday. But each year we have come home to a clean and tidy home that has been well cared for by the tenants and nice notes about how much they have enjoyed their stay. It has been a successful win-win process for us, so we are offering our home for rent again this year.” -- Julia DeCleene (rented to festival attendees for 3 years)
"All in all it has been a positive experience. The house is in safe hands and it was always clean and tidy on returning home.” -- Ben Inder (rented to festival attendees for 2 years)
This will be the fourth year I have rented out my house to R&V festival goers. I have no hesitation in doing this; the company has all the infrastructure in place to protect all parties, and everyone's expectations are clear. In my experience it is a very well run organisation and my property has been well looked after by the tenants." -- J.M.
